Anita is a cofounder of A&P and an international consultant, a social entrepreneur and a green advocate. She has about twenty (20) years of progressive experience in the fields of project management, gender mainstreaming, social and environmental development, monitoring and evaluation in the areas of Agriculture, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Education and Sustainability. She has qualifications in Planning, Environmental Studies and Conflict Resolution. Some skills she has acquired and perfected over the course of her career are inter agency coordination, multi-stakeholder consultations, participatory processes, facilitation, capacity building and community engagement.
She has worked on various projects at local, district, national and international levels. She has worked with both National and International organisations individually and as a team. She is particularly interested and advocate for gender equality and social inclusion. Her work targets vulnerable people in society such as the urban poor, persons with disability and people living in the fringes of society. Her motivation is to see such vulnerable groups empowered and self-sustained. She has a special interest in climate change, the environment and sustainable development. This has led to her founding of Green Generation Ghana, a non-governmental organisation and a social enterprise which focuses on climate change action, water, sanitation and hygiene and youth empowerment.
It is aimed at empowering and advocating for changing attitudes towards the environment and society. Its main projects are the Waste Segregation and Recycling project and Menstrual Hygiene Management and Education. Anita is Advisor on Patience Awards International (PAI); a member of the Ghana Institute of Planners; an affiliate of Commonwealth Association of Planners, Secretary of the Ghana Monitoring and Evaluation Forum (GMEF); Member, International Fellowships Programme Alumni Association of Ghana. (IFPAAG); Mentor, Panellist and Judge for the African Research and Innovation Summit, 2017, a Conference organised by the Association of African Universities. She has previously served as a Facilitator, 2010 Mayoral debate for Syracuse, New York; a Fellow, Ford Foundation, International Fellowships Programme, 2009 to 2011 and also a Member of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards international (Bronx, Silver and Gold awards holder)
